Angkor Wat Sunset

The Jetstar flight was delayed because of the congestion at Changi. We arrived 30 minutes behind schedule. Luckily the immigration and baggage claim was fast. I arranged with the hotel to send us two tuk-tuks, one would take our baggages to the hotel and the other would take us to see the Angkor Wat sunset.

We were lucky and the rain has stopped. The place was not as crowded as I expected, probably because of the recent flooding. We took some photos and left in about 30 minutes.

Traveling Without a Return Air Ticket

I will be embarking on the most adventurous journey in my entire life.

Tomorrow, I am going to Siem Reap with my wife and 2 friends. We will play tour guides to them for their 4 days in Siem Reap. After that, they will return to Singapore and we will proceed to Laos.

People think that I am doing crazy things because I don't have a return air ticket and cannot tell them when I'll be back in Singapore. My plan is to travel from Siem Reap to Laos by bus. I don't know how long it'll take to reach Luang Prabang. I will stop over at Pakse, Vientiane and Vang Vieng. I will be spending 2 to 5 days at each of these towns and make day trips to see the sights, try the local food and meet the people.
